ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Through utilising hand loom, Cloth & Co. inherently produced less carbon emissions that traditional textile manufacturing. We are committed to meet a net-zero carbon emissions reduction, and improve on our carbon emissions year on year.


WATER EFFICIENCY

We currently use a state of the art water processing technology and are determined to achieve a zero net output of water. We are consistently improving on our processes in order to reach this goal.


RECYCLING & WASTE

We are committed to responsible waste management and are working with key stakeholders to achieve zero waste.


ORGANIC MATERIALS

Cloth & Co. only uses GOTS certified organic cotton for our apparel. Organic cotton does not use synthetic fertilisers, pesticides or GMOs and practices sustainable farming techniques.


NATURAL FIBRES

Cloth & Co. has a strong focus on high quality natural fibres. We use linen, peace silks, organic cotton,

 

ECO FRIENDLY DYES

We are currently researching and developing colour fast plant based natural dyes for our entire range. In the interim we use certified OEKO Tex dyes.


SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS MODEL

We source the highest quality natural fibres and offer sustainable employment to our artisans and women’s cooperatives. We strive to create products that are better for the environment, our artisans and for the people who purchase Cloth & Co.


GOOD WORKING CONDITIONS

We work directly with our artisans whether they have a loom in their home, work from a weaving centre or a small stitching unit. We provide skills training, sustainable employment and a living wage to all of our artisans. We work with two small factories in Southern India to produce our organic cotton apparel, one of which is SEDEX approved, and the other is SA8000 certified.


ETHICAL SOURCING & SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

Cloth & Co. was born from a desire to support the communities we were engaged with by providing sustainable employment. We work directly with our artisans and women’s cooperatives, from the rural villages of India to our women’s stitching unit in Delhi.


SUPPORTING TRADITIONAL SKILLS

Each of our products is made with the utmost care, love and attention and are either hand spun, hand loomed, hand dyed or produced in a small stitching unit. We utilise the traditional skills of our artisans to develop and co-create our beautiful range.
