Made with Pride, in India
Supporting and empowering marginalised women in communities across India is one of our core business principles, and is why we do what we do. For several years, we have partnered with SEWA Shram Shakti Foundation which was founded to support victims of human trafficking and domestic violence, who are mainly women and children. They provide a safe environment for these victims to live, training for them to learn new skills, and work in ongoing and dignified employment.
Our new tote bags have been made with beautiful, 100% hand-loomed linen, woven by a traditional weaving community in Bhagalpur. A unique and quality accessory that serves greater purpose, to be worn with pride.
The SEWA Shram Shakti Foundation
The SEWA Shram Shakti Foundation is an NGO that bridges the gap between enslavement and a free and independent life. This centre is for survivors of sex trafficking and provides them with the skills, accountability, discipline and support to become a productive member of society.
Any donation made to this foundation will help support the infrastructure, facilities and training programs that will empower these women to support themselves in their freedom.
You can donate directly to the SEWA Shram Shakti Foundation through our website here. To learn more about the them, and our involvement please watch the video below.
